Oh, the return of the smoking monkey! It made me smile, even though the subject of the cartoon is depressing.

I have a feeling that as long as Dave Heineman is in any office, that monkey’s job is secure.

Sure! The newest obviously is the federal stimulus package. Other signs include the affirmative action ban, the Beatrice problems, the SCHIP expansion, the state spending lid, and proposed federal immigration reforms from a few years ago. That’s going off my own memory and attempts to read my semi-obscured writing. I’ll see if I can’t dig up some links on other examples as well.

Neal, the pile of cardboard signs is piling high and becoming hard to read. Can you briefly mention/describe the major issues Heineman has not taken a position on (as a way to quickly and better inform me). Thanks.
