I found it ironic that these excuses were used on Amendment 46 where there was little to no advertising for or against it, but the unions were trying to stop Amendment 54 (creating a published list of no-bid contracts to embarrass politicians that unions were using to get politcal favors), spent all sorts of money to stop it, bundled it with two other non-union amendments to vote no on (47 and 49, both of these also failed) and 54 was only one of two measures that passed (out of 14). Maybe it’s because CO just wants affirmative action?
