  1. Why is it politicians always insist on having their families in photographs? Your family is not up for election, you are. The more responsible thing would be to spare your family the politics. When I see pictures of politicians with their family it makes them seem more phony and me less likely to vote for them. Family Values is a smokescreen for crooked politicians.

  2. Wow…that is a pretty good assessment, Neal. I have to say, it doesn’t look like he’s holding his girls…it looks like he’s holding his girls hostage.

  3. Jim, you are right. My father’s family was not up for election. But when Mr. Obermeyer chose to make this about the daughters he has raised, myself and my eight year old sister, we all felt the intense pain of being ridiculed viciously and inappropriately in a public setting.

    Mr. Obermeyer, I am a college student who works very hard to obtain a good education and make a positive impact on our world. You reassure me that if I fail in every one of my lifes ambitions I will still not have sunk to your level. I respect myself and others too much to ever insinuate something so cruel.
