  1. I have been meaning to drop a note to say that I am a fan of Neal Obermeyer’s political cartoons. I think I first encountered them when I was at UNL and he was working for the Daily Nebraskan. In recent times–now that he contributes to the Lincoln Journal Star–that political cartoon about State Senator Christenson(sp?) and affirmative action really hit the mark, as does this cartoon about the city council. Obermeyer’s ideas are usually well-presented with a bit of bite that shows his wit.

    Keep at it, Neal!

  2. I remember the recent mayoral election being something about attracting high paying jobs to Lincoln. Let’s hope this kind of anti-business venom stays out of the papers so as to not dissuade those businesses we are trying to recruit to Lincoln to bring those high paying jobs. Oops too late.

  3. I live in Dallas, Tx and when it comes to terrible city counsels that fit the above picture we have it. They are corrupt, and never make any sense. A matter of fact some of them resemble some of the cartoon characters. If they shared a brain between all of them it would be asking to much.

  4. I also live in Dallas and it is crazy from Mayors to School Boards we are completed surrounded by crooks and idiots. Wish we could wipe them out and start with a clean slate.
